M.L. Roelke is an author whose love of stories comes from the rich storytelling traditions of her Cajun heritage. Her work often centers on what it means to be human in an imperfect world, and her favorite genres include historical fiction, fantasy, dystopian, and dark humor.

Roelke is based in North Texas, where she lives with her family and a menagerie of animals. She is deeply involved in the arts community, where she is a theater director and lifelong performer. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, nature photography, hiking, fishing, and practicing the art of falconry.
